I can't control everything
And I can't forget just what I've seen
These memories take me away
To a better place that I am today.
I Devise My Own Demise
Some people say that children are clueless without the proper education, and that they don’t see things most adults see. They say that kids are ignorant and that the only reason they know anything is because of their parents, if their parents have any sense. They say children aren’t special unless they’re particularly clever and that they can’t dominate adults, because they’re of course stronger and more independent than them. They also say that children can’t see as many things, or see as well, as them. Well, you know what?
Some people are stupid.
Really stupid.
And who wants to talk about stupid people?
Let’s talk about the smart ones.
The smart ones are executives at Tyrnin’s Institution for Paranormally Aware Juveniles. And the ‘subjects’ that are housed in that institution as you read this wordy introduction. These children and executives can see things you can’t, and there’s only so long they’re going to be able to see these things - maybe until their ages of seventy or so. So they’re fighting to keep their blessings for as long as possible. Now, aren’t you wondering what things they see that you don’t? I’m sure you are. And here it is.
Ghosts.
You know, boo. Scary. I’m going to eat you, bwahahah.
Not all ghosts are like that, though. Some of them are rather chatty and good-hearted. The nasty ones are the ones you have to watch out for - and the ones that students are trained to battle in their minds. Because when a ghosts get into your head or your body, you’re basically shit out of luck. That’s why kids are scoped out when they hit the age of fourteen and forced to come to TIPAJ - a long acronym, yes, but it works - which is kept a secret from most to ensue protection from unworthy eyes. This is a castle located basically in a secluded area of England. Students are taken here by bus, with tinted windows that can’t be seen in or out of. That’s how you don’t know how to get there, and you don’t know how to get back. But you will - after ten years of training. That’s the scary thing. Some of the kids worry about their lives…
Some of them worry about never seeing their family or friends again…
But you know, what you really should worry about… is your sanity.
Sanity and life, those are the things you have to maintain the hardest at TIPAJ, because you can’t have one without the other, and losing either will bring you straight underground.
It is time to say hello, goodbye
Hello, goodbye
To fade away, to fade away alone
Motherfuck it, goodbye!
I just want you to take, take me back home
To a better place that I've never known...
