I miss you terribly
Her eyes bounced from the scene, scent of heroin and other useless drugs bouncing around in the air to mask the sadness that dwelled within everyone's lives. They were nothing but sorry saps. Just like Arietta, herself. She just wanted to know what path was for her, so this was the best place to come. Get lost in a haze and wake up on the floor in the morning. Hopefully not cut up and in a trash bag.
She pushed her hands into the pockets as she began pushing past drug-induced crowds with her thin body. Grunting as she was squeezed between a man and woman. Ew. Nasty. They were grinding. And not grinding eachother. But her. It was the usual happenings for her, so she merely pushed the man in front of her away and continued walking towards the bar whilst pulling her fake ID out.
Sitting down on a barstool, she groaned, "Screwdriver." that's all she said before the bartender nodded and walked off a little to mix the drink. Her eyes once again navigated the scene. She was a regular and most people seen her here and have talked to her at least once.
After the drink had been delivered to her, she picked up the wineglass and began sipping it, music thumping from the bass and neon lights making their way around majestically. Small mist covered the floor in a thin layer as to decorate the well-known dance club.
She sat perfectly balanced on the swivel barstool, jeans riding her hips but being covered by a long black tee with a wilted tree on it. Seemingly on fire. A WILLOW tree. It was outlined in blue and colored in with grey. Grey hi-top converse decorated her feet
This was the normal scene for her to be hanging around. Like said. A smile forced it's way onto her pale face.

Jerrick walked along the sidewalk, doing his favorite pastime: kicking empty soda bottles and whistling softly a funeral dirge. He had just finished applying for the job at Old Navy, and was heading home when he noticed for the first time--a very loud and very big club. Out front on a sign said in big neon letters, "The Rave." Jerrick licked his lips. Fun. He could maybe get to know some people, get into some trouble...not a lot, just enough to make the night interesting. But there was a huge man outside. A bouncer. Jerrick sighed and was about to turn back for home when he realized that he could just as easily get into the club as he got out of his parents' estate. Jerrick did turn around, but only to dash back into the alley of the building next to the rave once the bouncer wasn't looking. He looked up at the tall brick wall, shrugged his shoulders, and started climbing. At the top, his hands had been cut up badly by the rough bricks, but he stood up and looked at the gap between the roof he was on now and the rave's roof; it looked like at least 10 feet. "I've already climbed a freaking wall, might as well take another chance," Jerrick said, and steeled himself for the jump. He set off running, and launched off the edge of the roof, flew through the air, his legs swinging wildly...his stomach was left back on the other building, and his brain flew away somewhere. All he had was what he could see; the world became silent. It seemed he was flying for years and years, and then suddenly, he hit the gravel roof of the Rave. He had made it. Crossing his fingers and hoping the bouncer hadn't heard anything, Jerrick jumped down onto the catwalk and went into the club through its second floor window. Since there wasnt ever any space to walk more than every few minutes, and then only a few feet, this looked like just the place he had been looking for. Jerrick shut the window and ignored the drunken stares of inquiry from the people around him, dancing to the beat.

She had turned her attention to the boy. Noticing that the rest of the 'clubbers' had turned their head his way. Standing up slowly, she sighed and began making her way over to him. Once. At least once she had spoken to everyone that entered this club. But she did not remember this boy. No, she didn't. He seemed. Underage.
"Hello. You do notice that the whole club's staring at you. Right?" it'd be like Arietta to walk up to a person randomly and say something odd. If they judged her, that was THEIR fault and THEIR loss. She was quite an odd character. But not in a good way. Nor in a bad way.
"Come here." she muttered, beginning to once again push herself through tightly-woven crowds towards the bar. Not really going to buy him a drink. No. Not unless he asked. Then maybe she'd be nice enough to. That or else she thought he deserved it.

Angie was dancing. Dancing like her life depended on it, like if she stopped the universe would implode. Sweat glistened across her body, which was adorned in a dark green tank-top and tight dark blue jeans, big black boots on her feet. She ignored the people around her, the girls giving her diry looks, the guys trying to grind with her. It was meaningless. She danced.

"Uhm...hello to you as well. My name is Jerrick, and yes of course i know everyone's staring at me!" Jerrick said, leaning toward her, which was harder than it sounded in this densely packed forest of druggies and drunks, "because i just came in through the second floor window." Jerrick chuckled. "It was a blast jumping across those roofs. But this club is worth it! Where are we going? The bar? Because i may have gotten too good at drinking...my family's maids and guards had a HUGE liquor cabinet in the kitchen. I learned my way around a bottle of vodka, i can tell you that much..." But then the people around him started to give him weird looks, and Jerrick shut up. He hadn't had to practice meeting anyone, someone had come up to him, and from the looks of it, was very happy to see him. Since...well...they were now dragging him by the collar across the dance floor towards the bar. But hey, if she wanted to get him drunk, he wasn't going to argue with that! Jerrick smiled with the knowledge that even if they were accosted for illegal drinking, his switchblade could take care of that bouncer. Jerrick just hadn't advocated violence unless absolutely necessary! And jail was not an option. Switchblade was.

She chuckled, passing by Angie slowly and looked back to Jerrick, "Arietta. Call me Ari. And I take it you're a troublemaker?" she sighed, finally making it to the bar and sitting down slowly and carefully. "Maids? You rich or something?" she asked before demanding another screwdriver, then looking to the other. "Well. Since you came in through the window like SpiderMan or something. You want something to drink?" she asked before the bartender looked to Arietta, then Jerrick. "Isn't he a little too young to be drinking?" The bartender responded to her. "Don't ask dumb questions. Just get him what he wants." that's when the look swiped her normally pale and calm features. The death glare "Alright. Alright." The bartender then turned to Jerrick, "Whaddya want?" he asked

Angie was starting to tire. She suddenly stopped dancing, to the obvious dissapointment of some of the guys around her. She gave them a smile and a wink, and made the universal hand signal for "I need a drink." She made her way through the crowds, pushing past people here, being pushed back there. She finally made it to the bar and waited for the bartender to finish serving the two people next to her.

Jerrick grimaced and, with a sigh, answered yes. "I'm not exactly PROUD that my family is rich. They just...sort of...i don't really know. For some reason it seems as if their money was more important than me. So I don't like to associate myself with them. But...i guess you could call me a troublemaker!!" Jerrick grinned and looked around, then finally poking his switchblade out of his pocket, "If anything happens, i've got it covered. Don't worry, I'm not like a stupid kid with this thing, i use to practice all the time...I can throw it with down to four inches of accuracy, and my knifefighting isn't bad...just, if anyone tries to kick us out, or put us in jail, I'm gonna keep us OUT of jail, ya know?" Jerrick paused for a breath, and then frowned. "I guess its sort of my parents fault that I seek adventure...if they hadn't, you know, kept me freaking SAFE from everything...I wouldn't seek ways to take myself into danger. It's sort of a weird trait, let's not talk about it."
The bartender looked at Jerrick with a worried expression, as Jerrick looked over at Ari with surprise and respect: she had just manipulated a fully grown adult without physical confrontation of ANY sort! But, Jerrick thought to himself, perhaps they had a relationship that he wasn't aware of. No...probably not. Maybe there was an understanding. Something like that. Or maybe she was just confident and strong enough a woman...girl? Either way, she was deserving of awe. Which Jerrick gave, duly. He turned to the bartender and answered with the words: "I'll have a sex on the beach!"(he said, without having a single glimmer of knowledge about what it was)

She chuckled and ran a hand through her blonde hair, pushing most of it from her face with a wide grin. "Ahhhh. I see. My parents weren't exactly the type to cover anything in fear of me being lost. That was my brother." she laughed. Oh, her older brother. He sure was fun to pick on. But he wasn't around. Actually, she would lie to the bartender and tell him that her brother was around. Of course this was right after she told people he had chased and actually broken a few limbs on a guy he had found her with. Wasn't a pretty sight, no. Bloody noses and bruised body parts. Her brother may have been a tad. Flirty. But he was vicious when it came to his little sister.
"Hey! Hey! No need for that. Honestly. If they mess with you, they mess with me. Then they mess with my bro." she held up her hands, glaring at the bartender once more before sipping her Screwdriver slowly, then laughing. "Most likely if ANYONE is sheltered, they rebel to see things they never seen. Because they're naturally curious. Or in my case I did it just to anger my brother." she nodded. Ahhh. That sibling rivalry was GREAT.
She laughed, looking at Jerrick only to notice his expression, "I just know my way around people." she said in a nonchalant way, as if she had it all down and explained it to everyone, with that, she leaned near his ear to whisper, "I told them my brother'll beat them bloody if they don't do as I say. But don't worry. He's not even around here. He never came with me to this. City. So. Shhh. Our secret." she laughed, putting a finger to her lips as if to say 'shhh'.

Jerrick raised an eyebrow. "I'm not so sure its something everyone who's sheltered is obsessed with doing...but whatever. Maybe. After all, its not like I've known too many people. So I don't really have much more to go on then cable television and my own actions. Yeah." Jerrick received his drink and looked into it. "You know, I can't really see how this has anything to do with sex. Or the beach," said Jerrick. The bartender grunted and tossed an umbrella into the glass. Jerrick frowned, but nodded to him. "Anyways...I should probably tell you that I have not brought any money with me, and i only just got a job at the Old Navy. So I most definitely will not be able to pay for this," he said to Ari, looking down. "But then again...we could always mug someone," started Jerrick, laughing, "that is, if we need money. I'm not sure, though. You could always get your brother on anyone we owed money to, right?" Jerrick looked at the girl next to them. She seemed like she was enjoying her vodka straight a little TOO much. I mean, thought Jerrick to himself, there's drinking, and then there's DRINKING. Or maybe its just water, he said, puzzled. "Oh well," he muttered, "anyway. So, I've finished my drink. And you look as if you're done with that. Want to go back out on the dance floor? Or...do you want to go somewhere else?"

"Well. SOME people act rebellious because they're sheltered. Maybe that's not your reason. But. Okay!" she chuckled, then looked at him, beginning to laugh, "Did you think it had something to do with sex on a beach?" she asked. Pulling out a wallet, she began looking through it and laid an amount of dollar bills. "I work at the Arcade. Not too exciting. But kind of." she shrugged, then stood, "And mugging would be exciting. But not our best choice."
She smirked, then turned to him quickly, "Where do you like to go? We could go there! Unless you want to stay here. Doesn't bother me, I'm one of those 'unsure' people that just go with the floooow." she giggled, hands on her hips.

When the bartender was finally unpreoccupied, Angie caught his attention. "Vodka and coke." She said, over the music. She watched as he poured it, watching the light refract through the glass of the bottle of vodka. "Here y'are" The bartender said, putting the glass in front of her and turning away. Angie picked it up and looked at it before taking a large sip. She raised her eyebrow at the mention of a mugging from the people beside her. This could get interesting...

"Hey," said Jerrick, leaning in and whispering, "a mugging is exciting. And how can a girl who has just...gotten alcohol illegally tell me what our best choice is? Excitement is good enough, you just have to be ready to get into it." Jerrick nodded vociferously, and then took the nice long last sip of his drink. When he looked up to Ari, he was more than tipsy. "The *hic* Arcade, huh? Sounds pretty *hic* tiighttt..." Jerrick wasn't exactly at a proper level of consciousness to be able to artfully leave his chair like she had, but he got off it somehow...a trip and fall did it, and then he said to her, "well. *hic*. I know RIGHT now that I am too damn stoned to do any dancing without either trampling someone *hic* or getting trampled myself!" Jerrick looked straight at Ari with a goofy smile. "Isn't that false advertising, calling it a sex on the *hic* beach, and then not having any sex or beachtime with it? Well, in any case, I *hic* think we should get out of here. But not drive *hic* because i think we'd get about as far in a car as the next lamppost. Lets walk *hic* to the library. It's pretty close to here, and I'm sure as hell not going to be able to walk the whole way home. I don't see anything wrong with me putting up in the library overnight! And *hic* I guess I'll just see you tomorrow, or some other time. *HIC!*"

She began laughing. It may have not been that funny, actually. But it just struck her as hilarious. She put her hands on her hips as she watched him, just waiting for him to stand up. "You do know you could stay at my apartment. For a small fee." she winked. She was joking, but there were no obvious hints to make it into a joke. So some people may have taken her seriously. But since when was Ari serious? "If I need to. I'll carry you the rest of the way. If it's impossible for you to walk a certain percentage of the way. And you better not expect this every time you get drunk." she laughed, rolling her eyes before thinking. Maybe he was too drunk to actually get through the hungry crowd? Be knocked over. And trampled. Poor guy.
"Come on!" she said, holding out her hand to help him up, "Don't mug anyone. Seriously. No. You're too drunk to even get away. You'd end up running right in front of a car." she laughed at the thought, even though it wasn't even funny. That was Ari. "Well. Sex on a beach? DUH! Of course it doesn't mean you get to have sex on a beach. If you wanted to have sex. On. A. Beach. You'd have to find someone. And not a glass full of alcohol." she continued laughing.
